On September 22, 2013, Deborah Davidson presented a curator’s talk at Kingston Gallery. Deborah talked about Lewis Hyde’s book The Gift, which was the inspiration for the exhibit she curated at the gallery in September. In this video, Deborah outlines Hyde’s thesis about gifts and creativity and engages the audience in a discussion about the topic. Interest was personal and profound from those in attendance, resulting in a wide ranging discussion of the issues raised in the book and reflected in the work in the gallery.
