Kingston Gallery is thrilled to introduce Claire Ogden, the 2nd annual recipient of the Emerging Writer Residency. This 14-month program offers a Boston-based art writer the opportunity to join a community of practicing artists, to write and publish critical essays on art exhibits, and to work with a mentor. Join us in welcoming Claire to the community.
CLAIRE in her own words:
I am a nonfiction writer and multimedia storyteller living in Cambridge, MA. I majored in Anthropology and Media Studies at Brandeis University, and so I am particularly interested in understanding the socio-historical context of art and the arts as aspects of visual culture. I am passionate about nonfiction in all its forms — from memoir, to documentary, to journalism, and to criticism. My writing interests include visual art, theater, film, popular culture, economic anthropology, and higher education. I am excited to use this writing residency as a way to build artistic community within the Kingston Gallery and throughout the Greater Boston area.
